Summer on the Beaches
Cooper is the champion!
Cooper Chapman has just taken out the Billabong Pro Junior Asia at Could 9 in the Philippines!
Coops took control of the Final right from the start, earning the highest wave score with his opening ride, a 7.17 From there he didnt let go and commanded the way the heat played out.
"My Pop is really sick at the moment, so I won this event for him!" Chapman said. "They weren’t the best waves in the Final, but I’ll take it. We had good waves earlier in the week so I guess to make it to the Final Oney (Anwar) and I had to prove ourselves in all conditions."
This is the first ASP Pro Junior for 2011/12 year which Cooper is now leading. This is the perfect start for Cooper and we will be watching him throughout the rest of the competition year.

Cooper Chapman will represent Australia at the Quiksilver King of the Groms World Final in France after claiming victory in the Australian leg at Snapper Rocks on Friday.
Running in conjunction with the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro Trials, Coops said he was buzzing after taking down some of the country’s best junior sufers. “It’s was all-time,” he said. It was such an experience competing in an event that was running as part of the Quiksilver Pro. There were loads of people just cheering on the beach – It felt unreal!”
In winning the final, Cooper surfed away with a return trip for himself and a chaperone to the Quiksilver King of the Groms World Final at the Quiksilver Pro France with accommodation and airport services supplied.
Nice days work for the youngster!
