Matt Banting taken on the world best groms in France and come out on top winning the 2010 Quiksilver King of the Groms
Matt battled the final against Brazil's Filipe Toledo, pulling off some awesome moves on the 3-4 foot clean waves that came through at Les Bourdaines. With good scores coming through from both surfers, it was Matt Banting who impressed the judges the most with some great combinations and managing to take more waves than Brazil's Filipe Toledo.
Well done Matt, see you when you get home.

The first international surfing competition to take place on Bondi Beach in over 20 years, the three-day event will see the most exciting aerial surfers from across the globe competing for a $30,000 prize on Bondi’s famous waves.

Laura Enever’s hometown victory came as no surprise to anybody. The explosive natural-footer consistently posted the highest scores each round, and with the help of some massive scores courtesy of her trusty GROM model & a blistering forehand attack, Enever posted an insurmountable lead in the Final.

This is the best day of my life. It’s been my dream forever to win here at home and now that I’ve done it, I’m at a loss for words.”
“It’s been my goal to win the World Juniors since I can remember and now that I have I just want to enjoy it,” Enever said. “I just want to have fun this season. I’ll be doing the ASP Australasia Pro Junior Series and start getting into the WQS events. The goal to qualify for the Dream Tour, but I just want to have fun this year.”
