Chilli Surfboard would like to congratulate Laura Enever on her 2nd place at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast!

Laura surfed amazingly throughout the whole event consistently posting high 9's. She faced some big names and took down current World Champion Carissa Moore!

Chilli and Laura have been working on her boards in the off season and it sure has paid off! Laura was riding the HABANERO throughout the event.

Again, congratulations Laura!

Laura Enever Is One Busy Gal

Posted on: Friday, September 24, 2010

Laura Enever is one busy gal. When she's not traveling the world winning events on the WQS, she's either in Indo with the Nike 6.0 team or tearing up Northern Beaches dance floors.  After racking up some great results in Europe last month, Laura is now back at it.  Here's a word from Laura:

"Hi guys, I'm over in Brazil right now (Florianopolis to be exact), we just finished the Maraisa Girls International 6* WQS, I finished with a 5th which was prettty cool"

"Here are a couple of snapshots from my recent travels. Thanks! - Laura"

Leaving home yet again, a plane-shot of Sydney Harbour.

The favorite board

Congratulations to Laura Enever who has just claimed her maiden ASP Women's Star-Series victory with a come-from-behind win over Courtney Conlogue, at the Billabong Azores Islands Women's Pro presented by Nissan.

After watching her opponent get off to a flying start Laura clawed her way back into the final using her priority to nail a 9.17 out of a possible 10 to escape from a combination situation and place herself within striking distance. With 5 minutes remaining both girls had an exchange which Enever came out on top with another excellent 8.17 point ride to turn the tables on Conlogue.

“Courtney got a couple of quick scores up on me and she had me needing a combination of scores for quite a while and I couldn't actually find one but then I got that 9 point ride and I knew that I could do it which I eventually did backing up it up with another good score so I was really happy in the end. It was really cool because I had a whole lot of guys supporting me so it felt really good to win the final and do it for them.”

Congrats Laura!

Laura Enever’s hometown victory came as no surprise to anybody. The explosive natural-footer consistently posted the highest scores each round, and with the help of some massive scores courtesy of her trusty GROM model & a blistering forehand attack, Enever posted an insurmountable lead in the Final.

I just wanted to go out and have fun and that’s what I did,” Enever said. “This is my home and I’m so stoked to be here with all my friends and family giving me so much support. This is the best day of my life. It’s been my dream forever to win here at home and now that I’ve done it, I’m at a loss for words.”

“It’s been my goal to win the World Juniors since I can remember and now that I have I just want to enjoy it,” Enever said. “I just want to have fun this season. I’ll be doing the ASP Australasia Pro Junior Series and start getting into the WQS events. The goal to qualify for the Dream Tour, but I just want to have fun this year.”

We're all as happy as pigs in mud right now & are extremely proud of you Laura!
