At home with Matt Banting...

Posted on: Tuesday, June 14, 2011

Matt Banting has been on the road a lot lately. Filming for this and that.

He finally had some time to spend at home, with good mate, Mick Campbell. This is what they found...

Tiago Pires

Our Portugese star has been lighting up the lineup at Trestles for this year's Hurley Pro.  Chilli and Tiago have been working closely for the past two years under Project Black.  He is the only surfer on tour who doesn't use a traction pad! Cool, huh?

Congratulations Joan & all at team Duru

Currently available through Lost Surfboards USA exclusively, perhaps it's time we release the 7curve to the rest of the world?

Mitch Coleborn lands another cover!

Once again our friend Mitch Coleborn has landed another cover! This kid knows how to get the shot!

Landscape Altered - Episode 1

Posted on: Tuesday, April 20, 2010

The Kustom Air Strike is the worlds richest aerial surfing event, putting up a USD$50, 000 incentive for one crazy air.  It's been won in the past by such innovators as Dion Agius, Julian Wilson and Dusty Payne and It's On Again in 2010. Our buddy Mitch Coleborn had a good shot at it last year with a crazy indo loop & as you can see above isn't holding back this year. The online shootout began at kustomairstrike.com on 01.01.2010 and runs until end of August 2010.  Clips will be posted as they receive them, so jump on and cast your votes. The top rated clips will be judged by a panel of 5 judges, and fifty gees will be rained on the surfer that produces the craziest air.

Coleborn lands the cover of WAVES

With special thanks to our good mate Mitch Coleborn we find ourselves on page 1 of WAVES magazine this month!

Mich has been switching between the A2 Curve (he rides "stock" 5'11 x 18 1/8 x 2 3/16 straight off the rack) & the STEPdown which he has been helping us fine tune & ultimately develop into an even more user friendly small wave destroyer!

Check the sequence...

Thanks Mitch & thanks WAVES

I met Alex on the beach at Palmy during BL's blast off grom festival last year... He told me to use any images we liked from Blue Snapper on our blog (I forgot)

...just got a reminder email with a few great shots of Cooper Chapman... enjoy

In pumping 4-6ft waves on Queensland’s notorious South Stradbroke Island, Friendy edged out good mate Mitch Crews to take out the Couran Cove Island Resort Pro Junior. The suspenseful final was a close one which saw the lead change multiple times before Friend shut the gate with a 9.50 registering a combined two-wave total of 16.00 (out of a possible 20) to Crews’ 15.0.

For a more, in depth (one sided) account of the event, why not check out Chris's own blog entries on Friendly Fire - The Couran Cove Coup at Surfing Life online magazine
