Grommets are becoming truly great surfers at a ridiculously early age these days. In the past the old man would keep his kid on the big dusty brown board for as long as possible. Problem is you can't shred on a log! Groms are evolving faster in the surf and their equipment needs to keep up. That's why Chilli has worked closely with arguably the best under 16 year old surfers in the world Matt Banting, Cooper Chapman, Tylah Hutchinson and Creed McTaggart to develop the Chilli Grom Model. This design combines a low entry full board rocker, flipped out tail for tight snappy turns with a slightly fuller plan shape to handle new school moves.
